Before and after an Accept

A large Accept asks before it writes, and every Accept can be taken back in one step. Read this page when a sheet appears over an Accept, when you want one undone, or when a proposal pass runs out.

What asks first

The Accept confirmation sheet, with its two counts and what stays out

An Accept over the library's own floor — 50 frames unless you change it in the criteria pane — asks first. The floor is held against what that Accept would write, so the bets and leans it leaves out do not count towards it. The sheet is headed Accept 73 proposals? and says: Every proposal in the whole card becomes your decision. The originals are untouched, and rejected frames go to the bin, which deletes nothing on its own. Two counts say what is to take and what goes to the bin; a row reads Written as 73 decisions in one step; and a row headed What stays out counts the frames on the look-at-these list and the frames you have already decided. Cancel writes nothing. Accept 73 frames writes them.

Under the floor there is no question. An Accept with nothing to write says so in a message: Nothing to accept here.

One step back

The message after an Accept, naming the count, with Undo

A whole Accept is one step in the undo history. The message reads 12 frames accepted, with 3 taken · 9 to the bin · one ⌘Z puts it all back under it, and its own Undo. Click Undo and all twelve go back at once: the message reads 12 frames put back and Undecided again · nothing was deleted. ⌘Z also puts all twelve back, and says Last culling decision restored.

While an Accept stands, each frame whose proposal you accepted keeps its mark, drawn solid, for the rest of the pass, so you can still see which cells moved.

⌘Z puts the decisions back but leaves the solid marks. The frames are undecided again, yet in Frames they still wear the solid accepted mark, which hides their live proposal, and in Single the pill still reads Take · accepted with no why link. The message's own Undo puts the marks back to hollow as well, but the message stays only a few seconds. If it has gone, any change to the pass builds it afresh and clears the solid marks: choosing another state chip, say.

When the pass ends

The end-of-pass message, with Show the rest

Press → on the last frame of a proposal pass, or decide it with auto-advance on, and one message says End of Proposed rejects with what was done underneath — 37 of 37 decided · nothing more proposed — and one button, Show the rest, which puts the proposal pass and the state down to Undecided. At the end of a proposal pass the message waits for your taste to take in that last decision: if it proposes more, they are appended and you step into them; if not, the end is announced.

While Vixlo is read-only

When your account no longer unlocks the app, the marks and the reasons card stay, but no Accept, ↩, ⌘↩, Take all, Confirm bets or Compare key writes anything; each shows Vixlo is read-only until you subscribe instead. See What read-only means.

H or ⇧H on a proposed pair in Compare is the exception to that message. It writes nothing, but the read-only message is replaced by Both held and, with auto-advance on, the cursor moves on, as if both frames had been held. They are still undecided; their badges show it.
