Carrying a look to other takes
Develop one take, then carry its look to the others. Two lines under the swatches in the film simulations column do it: everything on this take onto every take, and the look alone onto the frames that look alike. To carry chosen settings instead, see Carrying settings to other takes.
Everything onto every take
When the take wears a look and there is more than one take on the page, a line under the swatches reads Apply Golden Hour to all 143 takes (with your look's name and your count). Press it and every develop setting on this take goes onto every take on the page, replacing what each of them had.
Every setting means more than the look: the crop, rotation and straighten, the masks, the spot cleans and the lasso removals go too. If this take is cropped or retouched, every take will be. To carry the interpretation and leave each take's own crop and retouching alone, use Copy settings… (Carrying settings to other takes), which leaves those off unless you tick them.
Each take is written on its own, so this is one step of ⌘Z for each take whose settings change. The take you pressed it on, and any take already wearing exactly these settings, add none. The message reads Golden Hour applied to all 143 takes, and its own Undo puts all of them back at once.
A look onto the similar frames
Under that line sits Apply to N similar (≥ 72%). It puts this take's look, with its film simulation and its offset, onto the frames the cull measured as this frame's own group. Each of them keeps its own sliders, crop and everything else; only the look changes.
The percentage is the similarity slider's current setting, the one in the cull's side panel under Similar photos. The group is every frame in this frame's stack that measured at or above that number, plus the frame the others were measured against. Holds and undecided frames in the group are offered along with takes; rejected frames never are, and neither is the frame on screen.
Pressing it opens a list before anything is written: each frame as a thumbnail with its evidence beside it, 91% match for a frame that cleared the bar on its own, 84% to the first frame · via a neighbour for one that is in the group through a neighbour, leads this group for the frame the others were measured against. An × on a row takes that frame out. The card says Only the simulation is copied, meaning the look and nothing else. Apply to N writes exactly the list as it stands.
Two cases refuse with a reason. A burst the camera recorded carries no similarity measurement, so the button is disabled and says Nothing in this group was measured for similarity. When this take leads its group, or is in none, and no other frame clears the bar, it says No similar frames at this threshold; move the slider. On a take that does not lead its group, the group's first frame is offered whatever the slider says, unless it is rejected, so the button stays live as Apply to 1 similar (≥ 72%) with only that frame in its list. Undo is again one ⌘Z for each frame whose settings change; a frame already wearing that look adds none. The message's Undo puts all of them back at once.
